BAND

Hudson Music Association Band Parent Volunteers work with the band directors to provide support and opportunities for our talented band students. Please consider offering your talents through this organization in which all parents who have a student enrolled in the HHS Band are automatically members. Hard earned volunteer and fundraising dollars ensure our directors have the funds to challenge and reward the students with new and varied musical scores each year. Student uniforms are purchased by HHSMA band funds and school owned instruments are in adequate supply and top condition thanks to these fundraising dollars. Volunteer fundraising covers cost for State Contest fees and miscellaneous expenses that allow the program to run smoothly.

During the fall season, the emphasis is on the Hudson High “Swing” Marching Band. During a typical season, the marching band will perform at 10 football games, two or three band shows, and their own Parade of Bands. The remainder of the year focuses on the playing performances of the Wind Ensemble Concert Band, and Blue and White Symphonic Bands, that season begins in November immediately after the conclusion of the football activities. Performances by these ensembles generally include three concerts (December, February/March, May), solo and ensemble contest, and commencement exercise activities.

HUDSON BAND DANCERS

The Hudson Dancers are a part of the Marching Band family, and perform with the band during the fall season. Students audition for a position on the dance team. Final selection will be determined by the professional band/dance staff.
